Family Camps in December 2023
We were delighted to welcome families from diverse backgrounds and establish warm connections with them! Our family camps were filled with joy and fond memories. The specially designed programs allowed families to immerse themselves in Balinese culture, learn about sustainable camping and education, and most importantly, forge meaningful bonds through nature-based activities.
Our inaugural Family Camp took place from December 2nd to 4th, 2023, featuring the participation of only three families. Despite the modest turnout, the event was characterized by a strong sense of companionship. Participants from each family actively engaged in and supported the various activities. Following this, we hosted a tailor-made family camp for a group visiting from China. Their enthusiasm and inquisitiveness infused our gathering with a delightful energy and joy. Despite being strangers at the beginning of the camp, they quickly demonstrated unity and forged close connections with one another.
In the middle of December, we hosted a 5-Day Family Camp, drawing in numerous families. Our bamboo houses were completely occupied during this period. Over the course of five consecutive days, families had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with one another, delve into Balinese traditions, explore sustainability, and engage in various nature-oriented activities. Specialized workshops were organized exclusively for parents, while the children enjoyed educational and sports activities on Green School’s expansive field. Additionally, there were team-building challenges and a cooking competition, revealing the families’ competitive spirit.
The final family camp of December marked the end of our year with a wealth of cherished memories. Establishing warm connections with the families was rewarding, and seeing their enthusiasm throughout the three days was particularly gratifying. This season is indeed a time for joy and reflection. Witnessing numerous big smiles and laughter throughout the camp was a true blessing. Grateful to the families and children for making it memorable, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
